The Baden-Württemberg Foundation and the Baden-Württemberg State Ministry were jointly organising the event „International Danube Talks. The Danube Region after the European Elections 2024: Perspectives for Civil Society“. Based on the results of the European elections on 9 June 2024, the contributions and discussions focused on civil society engagement in and for the Danube region and was followed by welcoming addresses and keynote speeches from representatives of the State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg, the City of Ulm and the Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe and a panel discussion on the significance of the election results for civil society and concrete project work in the region.
The networking event took place on 11th of July 2024, at the Edwin-Scharff-Haus, Neu-Ulm, as part of the International Danube Festival and is aimed at project sponsors of the State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg and the Baden-Württemberg Foundation (especially from the programmes Perspective Danube, Walter Hallstein Programme and Europe on the Spot – Your Place in Europe), civil society networks from the Danube region, committed citizens, participants of the International Danube Festival and other interested parties.
