Roundtables
As part of the conference “Democracy needs all of us!”, participants took part in an intergenerational and international exchange on different aspects of democracy. A total of 19 roundtables brought together people of different ages and from different countries to discuss specific democracy-related topics. At nine tables, the groups presented their key ideas and continued the discussion with panelists, while the other ten groups creatively designed “democracy stools” based on their results. The main insights from all roundtables were then brought together in a joint fishbowl discussion.
Workshops
In six interactive workshops, participants explored democracy from creative and practical perspectives. Artistic activities, games, theatre and literature encouraged active participation, while thematic workshops focused on age-friendly communities, democratic education, youth participation, European cooperation and the visibility of women in Europe. The workshops created space for exchange, new ideas and learning from projects and experiences across different countries.
