Since the beginning of the war of aggression against Ukraine, it has been a concern of ILEU e.V. to help Ukrainian refugees and to show them various possibilities to settle in here in Ulm and the region and to cope with everyday life.
In addition, we actively support refugees in pursuing their interests and hobbies with us. In cooperation with volunteers, the Ukrainian Catholic Community of Neu-Ulm and other organisations, we offer excursions, get-togethers, a sewing group, German conversation and more.
The sewing group gave rise to the idea of organising a stand by Ukrainians at the Donaufest, where handicrafts and small works of art are sold. The proceeds go to aid projects in Ukraine for traumatised children. You can find the stand on the Neu-Ulm page under number 58.
